-- TRIATHLON TURTLES --
Recipe adapted from 'Orville Redenbacher's Popcorn Cookbook'

Ingredients:
6 cups Aunt Em's Kettle Korn
1 package (14 oz) light caramels, unwrapped
2 Tablespoons of butter
2 Tablespoons of milk
30 pecan halves
30 whole cashews
1 package (6 oz) semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 teaspoon shortening

Directions:
* Prepare a baking sheet with lightly greased wax paper to place turtles on.
* Place Aunt Em's Kettle Korn in a large mixing bowl.
* Combine caramels, butter, and milk in a medium saucepan over low heat until smooth.
* Gently stir caramel mixture into Kettle Korn until evenly coated.
* Allow mixture to cool until it can be safely handled.
* With lightly greased hands, press together a Tablespoon of the caramel coated popcorn and place onto the baking sheet.
* Using your thumb, make a small indention on top of each popcorn mound.
* While the popcorn mounds are still warm, push the small end of the cashews into the indentions in the mounds to form the heads of the turtles.
* Stir together the chocolate and shortening until blended in a small saucepan on low heat.
* Spoon 1 teaspoon of chocolate mixture into indentations of each turtle.
* While the chocolate is still warm press 1 pecan half into each chocolate mound. (Pecan represents the turtle's shell).
* Remove from baking sheet when cool and serve.

Some Turtles may be slow, but these turtles will move very fast!
