-- ORANGE CURRIED PORK CHOPS --
Recipe adapted from 'Orville Redenbacher's Popcorn Cookbook'

Ingredients:
Entrée:
4 cups of Aunt Em's Tender White Popcorn (finely crushed)
¼ cup of all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons of seasoned salt
1-½ teaspoons of curry powder
1 teaspoon of paprika
¼ teaspoon of garlic powder
¼ teaspoon of black pepper
1 teaspoon of ground cloves
6 loin-end pork chops
1 egg lightly beaten with 1 Tablespoon of water in a flat bottom bowl or pan
Non-stick cooking spray

Sauce:
1 Tablespoon of butter
1 cup of orange juice
6 Tablespoons of corn syrup
1 ½ Tablespoons of cornstarch
1 ½ Tablespoons of cornstarch
1 ½ Tablespoons of Grand Marnier Liqueur (if you would like to omit the liqueur, then increase the orange juice by 1 ½ Tablespoons)
1 (11 oz) can mandarin oranges, drained
Pinch of salt

Directions:
* Warm up the old oven to about 350° F and spray the non-stick cooking spray on a foil lined baking sheet.
* Combine Aunt Em's Tender White Popcorn, flour, seasoned salt, curry powder, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and ground cloves in a medium-mixing bowl.
* Dip each pork chop in egg wash and then into the popcorn mixture until coated (the easy way to do this is to put the popcorn mixture and the pork chop in a plastic bag, then hold the bag above your head and shake vigorously. The alternate method is to put on a little Latin music and hang on to the bag while you practice your salsa dance steps).
* Place coated pork chops on a baking sheet and bake for 40 minutes or until done. Turn the chops over halfway through the baking time.
* A few minutes before you intend to serve your creation melt the butter in a small saucepan.
* Stir in orange juice, corn syrup, cornstarch and slat.
* Continue to cook over low heat while stirring constantly until thickened (that Latin music would come in handy here as well).
* Add liqueur (if used) and oranges and cook only until they are heated through.
* Arrange your pork chops on a nice serving plate and pour the orange sauce over the chops.

Keep that music going and add a few candles and you have got a nice little romantic dinner entrée.
