Aunt Ems Gourmet Popcorn - Home

Recipe adapted from 'The Hoppin 'n' Poppin Popcorn Cookbook by Gina Steer'
- Ingredients:
- 4 cups Aunt Em's Kettle Korn
- 4 squares of dark chocolate or 2 Tablespoons of dark chocolate chips
- 2 Tablespoons of butter
- 3 Tablespoons of light corn syrup
- Shaved coconut or white chocolate (use as much as you like)
- Directions:
- * Break the chocolate into small pieces (don't bother if you are using chips) and place in a large heavy-bottomed pan.
- * Add the butter and syrup (I know, it doesn't look to appetizing at this point but just wait).
- * Over low heat, slowly melt the mixture stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon (occasionally doesn't mean once at the start and once after you have talked on the phone for a while, it means at least once a minute).
- * When chocolate has melted, while continuously stirring bring mixture to a steady boil for 1 minute then remove from heat (with all this stirring, you don't have to even worry about the calories in the chocolate).
- * Add Aunt Em's Kettle Korn and gently stir until completely coated.
- * Let cool.
- * Spoon into serving dishes and sprinkle with either coconut or shaved white chocolate.
This desert is best served shortly after it has cooled.
